Ozar (Ashtavinayaka)

Ozar temple which is also popularly called as the Vigneshwara Temple or Vighnahar Ganapati Temple of Ozar is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha, who is regarded as the god of wisdom. Also for a fact this temple is one of the Ashtavinayaka which are the eight revered shrines of Lord Ganesh in Maharashtra.

Vighneshwar temple is located just off the Pune-Nashik Highway, in the town of Ozhar. It is just 13 to 15km from Lenyadri & is enclosed on all sides by high stone walls and its pinnacle is made of pure gold. The idol, facing the east, has its trunk towards the left and has rubies in its eyes. There is also a diamond on the forehead and some jewel in the navel. The temple is situated on the banks of river Kukadi where you can do pedal boating. There is a market where different kind of ganesh idols are also available.
