Marleshwar

Marleshwar is a beautiful place located at Sangameshwar subdivision of Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra. Marleshwar is also known for the Cave God Mahadev Temple which is also called Marleshwar Temple. Devotees can handle venomous snakes here. Dhareshwar is a waterfall on the Bav river which is another tourist attraction of Marleshwar & quite nearby to the temple. The waterfall is always running even during the summers & in rainy season it’s a pure heaven to visit.

Often regarded as the most picturesque shiva temples, its just 75km away from one of the most famous beach temples, Ganapatiphule. During the month of summer, cobras come out of the cave temple and comfortably move around although they say that till date, they have not harmed a single devotee till date. There are also good hotels nearby where you can take your accommodation. There are around 100-130 stairs and during this climbing you will come across a lot of shops where u can enjoy solkadi, nimbu pani and chhachh.
