Kelwa Beach

Kelwa beach – sometimes also known as Kelva or Kelwe beach is a pristine stretch of sea shore and a popular weekend getaway for tourists from Mumbai and nearby. The beach is about 8 km. wide long. It has the largest stretch of beautiful cost line of Arabian Sea in Thane District. The unique feature of the beach is the abundance of the Suru trees.
Now Kelva is a become very famous tourist attraction, the beach is overcrowded with local tourists during weekends which indicates its growing popularity.
Location –
Kelwa Beach is situated about 80 kilometres north off Mumbai. From NH 8 there are two ways to reach here, one is from Varai phata 32 KM, and other from Mastan Naka (Manor) 34 Km. It is easily accessible from the Kelve Road station situated about 5 kilometres away. It is also a 25 minute ride on an 8 seater Rickshaw from Palghar railway station.
Kelwa Beach is also connected by State Transport buses which make frequent trips from Palghar or Saphale & Kelwa Road Station.

You can find many numbers of Resorts for Over night stay and relax with Family & Friends, other local food stall are also available near Beach side, some local hawkers are selling Tad Golas, (a fruit from Palm (TAD) Trees), Coconut Water, local fruits like Banana, Sapota (Chiku), Red Berrys, Ice Gola, Bhelpuri, Panipuri and lots of other stuff. Parking Facility is also available near beach side.
Enjoy wide beach with Horse cart, Camel Ride, Para Gliding (Rs. 300/- Per Person).
