Birla Mandir, Shahad

Birla Mandir is 4kms away from the Kalyan city and it’s a hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vithoba. Exactly situated at shahad in Ulhasnagar, this temple is often crowded with locals coming everyday to take the divine blessings of Lord Vithoba. Located in the vicinity of century rayon company, this temple is also popular for appearing in some bollywood movies.
Many movies like Tere naam, Prem Granth, Suhaag (Old) amongst others have shot various portions of their movies at this temple. Though relatively less popular in Mumbai, but this place certainly manages to give you peace and there is a certain calmness in the area which makes it a must visit for those who are in or around Kalyan or Ulhasnagar!
