Bahubali Teerthakshetra

Bahulbali temple was developed in the year 1935 where worshippers still throng in large numbers to get blessings of 24 tirthankaras and was named after a sage who successfully meditated for 300 years. Situated on Kolhapur to Sangli highway which is around 25kms from Kohlapur in Maharashtra, this beautiful jain temple is one of the most peaceful temples in the entire Maharashtra. The scene of the farms, hills and the surrounding natural beauty is also simply a stress buster.
The main temple has a grand idol of Bhagwan Bahubali. It is situated on about 50 steps up and placed on a 28 feet high promontory. A very beautiful colossus of marble of Lord 1008 Shri Bahubali ,28 Feet in Height, is installed here near the hill in 1963.
