The Temple gives the place its name…Ambajogai – Goddess Amba / Jogeshwari / Yogeshwari / Jogai….The temple is a wonderful old time construction in Hemadpanthi style architecture & dates back to hundreds of years. The Devi Mandir is one of the three and half Shakti Peeths in Maharashtra. Usually one can get an unhurried Darshan, unless tourist buses arrive for darshan. It is a jagrut devasthan and the Kuladaivat for certain communities too.

Also when in Ambajogai, don’t miss darshan here. The Bhakt Nivas is situated just outside the main entrance gate of the Mandir. Less than 100 metres down is the Ganesh temple. Folklore says that Devi Darshan is complete only with Ganesh Darshan which provides a peaceful and spiritual ambience. Overall it’s a must experience!
