Parali Vaijnath Temple
Parli is a renowned town in the Beed District of Maharashtra. The ‘Parli Vaijnath Temple” which is also popularly known as the “Parli Vaidyanath Temple.” belongs to the 12 Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. This is the 5th Jyotirlinga in the state. The temple is very big and usually its not as crowded as we think it should be. The darshan can be completed within 10 minutes and you can also spend sometime inside the temple. Devotees are allowed to touch the linga while taking photos inside the temple is prohibited. As far as the design is concerned there is a huge Chandelier in the centre above Nandiji & Jharoka windows in four directions for natural light & air to pass, Paint is also used to highlight the carvings on walls & pillars. Garb-Grah is kept sacred though people can still touch the Shivlinga & offer water-milk-flowers-bailpatra. The main mukut is daily put after the pooja is done.
You can also stay in a hotel in Parli & take an auto to reach the temple. Parli city is dirty, but there are a few restaurants which are kept clean. Parli also has a railway station and is easily connected with all the major cities in India.
