Mahurgadh

Mahurgud Darratreya Temple also called as the Mahur Datta Mandir is one of the most famous and oldest Dattatreya temples of Maharashtra. It is also believed that Mahur was the birthplace of Guru Dattatreya. Lord Dattatreya was the son of goddess Anusuya who is also highly worshipped in Maharashtra.
Also Datta pournima is one of the biggest festivals which is celebrated with pomp and its fully glory at this temple & its worth attending during that time. Thousands of visitors from different corners of Maharashtra make it a point to visit during this time. Also for a fact, this temple is amongst the two shakti peeths of Dattatreya and holds a lot of spiritual and mythological significance in Maharashtra.
