Harihareshwar

Harihareshwar temple is entirely dedicated to Lord Shiva & is regarded as one of the holiest shiva temples of Maharashtra. It is believed that the blessings of Shiva are so strong that it helps you become stronger in every aspects of life.
This temple at Harihareshwar is an awesome place on the sea shore. There are 2 temples in the complex and both show the glimpses of ancient Maratha Architecture. Many people perform various religious rights in the temple compound & the best part is that no one is harrassed by the local Pujaris or Pandas. There is a small hill on the back of the temple which needs to be trekked using steps. The view of the sea and surrounding rocks from the hill is also simply stunning & amazing. There again is a stairway from the hill to the sea side which takes you to a picturesque rocky portion on the sea shore. Harihareshwar temple is certainly a place which is a heaven for resting on the rocks for a couple of hours.
